About the Hilltop Business Association of Rock Island
Our Mission
To be an organization of local businesses that
- Works with city and county governments to address the needs of Rock Island small businesses,
- Seeks funding and material support for business improvement projects,
- Stimulates a growth-oriented business environment in Rock Island,
- Takes collective action toward the betterment of Rock Island.
Our History
Originally established in 1979, the Association has undergone many changes over time, not the least of which were brought on by the Pandemic. Since then we have re-constituted ourselves to meet the needs and challenges of the future head-on, regardless of industry. Growing and working collectively, with a focus on small independent businesses, carries the promise of benefit to us all. Small businesses can't do it all by themselves - working together we can accomplish so much more!
Our Membership
Our membership is comprised of Rock Island businesses across a range of industries, all working together to make a contribution to a business-friendly environment. Interacting with city and county governments with one voice rather than each alone gives us a greater impact. Any business in Rock Island that is not a member of an SSA or another Business Association is eligible for membership. See our membership application form HERE.
